The implementation of an effective and efficient Management System is a critical factor to guarantee the perenniality of a company and the fulfillment of the needs and expectations of its clients. To this end, HORMIGON has created its Management System based on the ISO 9001 standard, which defines the necessary requirements for a quality management system, also guaranteeing the continuous improvement of its processes.
HORMIGON’s management system has been certified by ISO 9001 since October 12, 2012 and has since been periodically monitored by internal and external audits, attesting to the maintenance of compliance with the requirements of the standard. The external audits of the system, both the certification carried out in 2012 and the others for maintenance and recertification, were performed by SGS ICS Certifier, a company recognized worldwide as a reference in quality and certification.
In its last external audit, held in August of this year, HORMIGON obtained the recertification of its Management System together with the upgrade to the new version of the standard, ISO 9001: 2015. According to Alfredo Faria, Administrative Manager and also responsible for HORMIGON’s Quality Management program, “the success achieved during the process of recertification of the system reaffirms the importance and commitment of the company with its management system and its continuous improvement, evidenced mainly by the transition to the new version of the standard, 9001: 2015, which brought significant structural changes over the previous version, such as the inclusion of the risk approach related to the system processes. ”
Created by ISO (International Organization for Standardization), the 9001 standard is recognized and adopted worldwide, with the main objective being the definition of guidelines so that the organization can meet the requirements of customers and other interested parties. In this way, certification in accordance with the standard demonstrates the high level of quality of the processes of the company to the market.
