Ministry of Culture publishes in the Official Gazette of the Union of August 24, 2018 Ordinance No. 83 that establishes the Integrity Management Unit within the scope of the Ministry of Culture. According to Decree, the Unit must prepare an Integrity Plan to be approved by November 30, 2018, containing all the items listed in art. 5th of CGU Ordinance No. 1,089 / 2018.

What should be the competencies of the Integrity Management Unit of the Ministry of Culture?

I – Coordinate the structuring, execution and monitoring of the Integrity Program of the Ministry of Culture;

II – To guide and train the servants of the Ministry of Culture in relation to the themes pertaining to the Integrity Program; and

III – Promote other actions related to the implementation of the Integrity Program, in conjunction with the other units of the Ministry of Culture.

What should be the responsibilities of the Integrity Management Unit of the Ministry of Culture?

I – Coordinate the survey of the risks to the priority integrity and the elaboration of treatment measures;

II – Draw up the Integrity Plan and submit it to the approval of the Governance Committee of the Ministry of Culture – CGMinC;

III – Plan and participate in training activities related to the Integrity Program in the Ministry of Culture;

IV – Establish routine monitoring of the execution of the Integrity Program;

V – Propose measures for the improvement of the Integrity Program.

According to the Federal Comptroller General’s Office, by Ordinance CGU No. 1,089 / 2018, the Integrity Program must contain rules of conduct, transparency, access to information, treatment of conflicts of interest and nepotism, among other requirements.
